What to do in Northumberland With sweeping forests and gorgeous gardens, there’s plenty to do inland in Northumberland, but no trip would be complete without visiting the spectacular beaches. If you’re bringing the dog they’ll be in stick-fetching, surf-splashing heaven. From sweeping Budle Bay and Bamburgh to epic coastal castles like Dunstanburgh and pretty fishing villages – it boasts some of the finest scenery in Europe. If you’re coming with an aspiring wizard, a visit to Alnwick Castle (aka Hogwarts) is an absolute must.
