Does a staycation limit my options? Not at all. Think about how diverse the UK is geographically and culturally. A glamping staycation could take you to one of our remote Scottish glamping places, the beach anywhere from Cornwall to Norfolk, to Yorkshire, or even into the woods just round the corner from trendy foodie towns in Herefordshire that are a match for anything you’ll find around the world.

What sort of glamping places can I stay in? All our places are different, from incredible treehouses with hot tubs, shepherd’s huts in peaceful fields, yurts, bothy, buses and cabins in all corners of the UK. Each has been built by an independent, creative owner, so what you get there will vary. Is glamping like camping? Sort of, but better. With glamping you get all the benefit of being away in the outdoors, without any of the drawbacks of camping – the crowds, wrangling with tent poles, waking up a bit cold and damp. All you need is a change of clothes and a big bag of food, although in most cases there’s a great farm shop around to raid for delicious local supplies.

Is glamping an ethical way to travel? It certainly can be. Glamping places tend to be built and run with the utmost care for the land and local connections, so by going glamping you’re supporting the local butcher, baker, potter, painter and more. Then there’s us. We’re part-owned by a charitable trust that we established to support environmental causes, we’re employee-owned and a certified B Corp. So yes, if you choose right, it’s very ethical.
