Short breaks

We all wish we lived closer to nature, but even a glamping weekend break can give you that sense of freshness and restoration that comes from stepping out of the modern world for a while. Our glamping places whisk you out of the urban hustle, to sensational spots for a big occasion, magical family escapes or just a gentle moment somewhere quiet and green. We’ve personally inspected every single one, so that you’ll get the weekend break you’re craving.

Short breaks close to cities

These are our most popular glamping locations close to a nearby city. Our team have visited every single one personally, to find only the most special and quirky spaces that we just know you'll want to visit.

Why we love glamping in Devon

We love how glamping in Devon brings you as close as possible to all the wonderful nature spots in the region. This is our guide to why we love glamping in Devon, including our favourite beaches, walks, annual events, and awesome pubs.

Inspiration

Our favourite UK hikes

Good hikes can really make a weekend away. They give you guilt-free lounging time for the rest of your stay, get you outdoors in the sun and have a handy tendency to end in pub gardens. These are some of the team’s favourites.

About glamping short breaks

What should I do on a glamping weekend break? Being in fairly rural places, hiking and wild swimming are probably the two most popular activities for anyone glamping. But we’d like to put in a recommendation for giving yourself permission to do nothing at all. Relax. Really relax. Switch off your phone, fall asleep under a book, eat when you’re hungry, sleep when it’s dark, forget what time it is and let nature guide you.

What do I need to take for a glamping weekend? Very little, that’s the whole point! Glamping is about having nothing to get in the way of unwinding into your downtime. Our places are all different, so it’s always worth checking the “essentials” section of our site for details, but generally you can turn up with a couple of changes of clothes and you’ll be fine.

What about food? We’d always advise checking the “food and drink” section of our site as you might have a welcome hamper waiting for you depending on the place. Some owners even offer home-cooked meals on arrival too. If not, look for a farm shop to stock up at on the way, so you can try the regional flavours and help support even more local business.

How do I find the right place for me? First, decide how wild you want to go. Are you an open fire, ash-in-the-hair Bear Grylls fan or would you rather do your nature watching over the twin rims of a glass and a bath tub? Then have a good read of our site and check what each place has got. If you can’t decide, then call or email and our Guest Experience Team will help you track down the perfect glamping weekend break.
